As the world continues to combat the spread of COVID-19, many manufacturing companies are answering President Trump's call and joining the fight by building medical products, donating supplies, and more. In order to continue protecting those who are on the front lines, Portable Solutions Group has donated N95 respiratory masks to both Kings Daughters Medical Center's coronavirus testing center that's being set up in Grayson, Kentucky, and to DASCO Home Medical Equipment. At PSG, the masks are normally used for protecting employees during any high dust/sanding application.
Each location will be using the masks for different purposes while in contact with patients. KDMC employees will be using the masks while swabbing patients' mouths and noses in order to test them for COVID-19. DASCO Home Medical Equipment employees will be using the masks while setting up medical equipment for their patients. The goal of donating these masks is to ensure that essential medical employees and their patients are protected during this time. By doing so, we can help slow the progression of COVID-19 and keep those who are at risk safe.
At Portable Solutions Group, we encourage everyone to continue staying safe, secure, and healthy by staying home when possible, practicing social distancing, washing hands regularly, and cleaning common areas in order to avoid the spread of germs. According to the CDC, If you think you have been exposed to COVID-19 and develop a fever and symptoms, such as cough or difficulty breathing, call your healthcare provider for medical advice.

Since 2020 first began, cases of coronavirus have been increasing and causing global travel to be disrupted. As a result, the exporting of goods from various countries has rapidly decreased. This has caused the global shipping container trade to be affected by delivery delays due to calls to certain ports being reduced and shipments being re-routed.
So what does this mean for PSG and its family of companies? Well, as the spread of coronavirus began to cause these issues, our companies began to discuss how they could best prepare for the delay. By doing so, they are now prepared to complete future builds for customers during the outbreak.
Ronnie Kearns, Head of Manufacturing and Procurement, said, "In a effort to protect our customers, due to delayed shipping of materials from overseas, PSG reached out to steel and container vendors to evaluate their stock levels of materials forecasted for future builds. In doing this, we found that there was an expected shortage of materials due to delays in shipments to our suppliers. Working with our suppliers, we were able to purchase enough material to protect upcoming orders for our customers for the next several months."
At Portable Solutions Group, we ensure that our customers receive their products in a quick and efficient manner no matter what challenges we may face. Through years of experience within numerous industries, we have become a leader in shipping container modification and are always prepared by being one step ahead. As a result, we are Reinventing the Box™ for customers all around the world!

Did you know that the fourth Thursday in February is a day for people to celebrate their love of chili? Well PSG and its family of companies sure did! To celebrate this national holiday, and one of America's favorite winter dishes, our team came together to enjoy some bowls of hot chili with each other on this snowy day.
Many of our employees brought their different chili recipes for the rest of their coworkers to try. From no-bean chili to white chicken chili, the day gave each of them a chance to express themselves through cooking. And even those who didn't bring chili joined in on the fun by bringing crackers, peanut butter sandwiches, and desserts.
PSG and its family of companies value every employee and their hard work. They also realize that it's important to have a fun work environment to preserve and continue to increase morale. By doing so, they will be motivated to Reinvent the Box™ for our customers!

In honor of hard work and a "can-do" attitude, Portable Solutions Group recognizes Roger Vanover as the 2019 fourth quarter recipient of its Major Award. Roger started as a manufacturing floor lead electrician and was promoted to floor manager at our Wurtland facility mid-2019. As a lead electrician, Roger worked on everything from basic MAC turnstiles and access control to complex energy storage solutions. As a floor manager, Roger has streamlined the Wurtland facility and helped better position the facility to support future company growth. Roger is a knowledgeable leader but also hands-on when needed.
Portable Solutions Group is closing its best year ever, and it would not be possible without Roger and his leadership. As we continue to grow, Roger will continue to play an important role in the company. We'd like to congratulate Roger for winning the Major Award and wish him continued success with our family of companies.
With Christmas being just around the corner, it's important to remember what the holiday season is all about: family and friends. And what better way to celebrate Christmas with those important people than with ugly sweaters? On Wednesday, December 18th, PSG and its family of companies held their second annual ugly sweater contest!
Throughout the day, many different employees wore bright and colorful sweaters that not only celebrated the holiday, but allowed them to show off their individual personalities as well. From funny animals to famous cartoon characters to the classic Santa Claus, each sweater was fun and unique its very own way. And after serious deliberation from our company's secret panel of judges, the winners of the contest were announced. We would like to congratulate Frank Massie (top left) and Rodger Miller (top right) for winning the contest and taking home the ugly sweater ornaments as their prizes!
However, the fun didn't stop after the announcement of the winners. Each manufacturing facility was given pizza, chips, and holiday cookies to thank them for a job well done this year!
We would like to thank every employee who participated in the ugly sweater contest this year for their involvement and hope that everyone has a fun and safe holiday break with their friends and family. As this year reaches an end, PSG and its family of companies look forward to what the year of 2020 has to bring.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

The Portable Solutions Group family would like to wish you and your loved ones a Happy Thanksgiving. As we celebrate this special day, we here at PSG wanted to show our employees how much we appreciate all of the hard work that they do and let them know that we're thankful for them.
PSG continued its tradition of providing each employee with a turkey to have for the holiday. And to keep the spirit going, we also surprised them with cakes so that they could celebrate with their PSG family before the real festivities began at home.
We would like to thank Chuck O'Neill and The Armory Smokehouse for their assistance with our turkey distribution this year. We would also like to thank the Russell Kroger Bakery for creating the beautiful cakes.
Have a safe and happy holiday!

Did you know that Portable Solutions Group sends out a newsletter every quarter to keep subscribers informed about employees, company events, and more? We believe that it's important for our community to feel a personal connection to our companies. By developing this connection, we are able to form a special relationship with them.
The newsletter is sent out at the end of each quarter and is filled with the companies' most interesting stories that occurred during that time. This allows our subscribers to stay up to date on what goes on inside of our offices and also the people who work in them.
When asked why the newsletter was started, Megan Coffey, Newsletter Founder and PSG Executive Assistant, said:
I started the quarterly newsletter as a way to share both big news and everyday moments with our friends, family, and community members. A lot of employees in the PSG family of companies are always working to make meaningful connections both inside and outside our organization. Our CEO, Robert Slagel, and I had seen some other companies’ newsletters, and we felt like a quarterly update would be a great way to showcase what we’re all up to. We try to share everything from contest winners to goal-setting to winning big contracts… celebrations, community events, etc. It’s my hope for the future to see the newsletter continue to highlight the secret to our success – our people.
