DropBox Inc. just recently began construction on a new 20' shipping container modification for Walt Disney World in Florida. Opened in 1971 the theme park is the most visited vacation spot in the world and has over 52 million visitors a year,
Owned and operated by Walt Disney Parks and Resorts
, a division of The Walt Disney Company
the theme park covers 27,258 acres, has 27 themed resort hotels
, four theme parks
, two water parks
, four golf courses
, two miniature golf courses, and one camping
resort.
With the need for a portable decontamination station facility for workers at the resort Disney representatives contacted DropBox Inc. a few weeks ago. This custom Decontamination Station will be used at the theme park for behind the scene workers. Unconfirmed but believed to be for part of the
famed underground “Utilidor” tunnels that allow people and supplies to travel beneath the park unseen this custom shipping container modification scheduled to be delivered the second week of June.
Unlike any other Decontamination Station DropBox Inc. has built in the past this shipping container modification is going to be built without a shower as a full shower is not required by the customer given their circumstance and clean working environment. This Decontamination Station however will include a dirty room and a clean room separated using an isolation zone, air filtration, and controlled air systems that pull air in through the clean room and out through the dirty room. Complete with two deep basin sinks, mirrors, soap dispenser in the dirty room as well as lockers and counter space in the clean room this custom
shipping container modification makes the perfect decontamination space for the world renowned theme park.
