DropBox Inc. continues to receive projects that take on different areas of industry. Most recently, Sales Representative, Shane Meadows, sold a shower shack to a 13,400-acre surface mine complex located in the southwest corner of Wyoming. This Special Bituminous Coal Mine currently produces coal in three active areas from 12 primary seams and their splits. The seams are steeply dipping at 17° to 20°.
Once the coal is produced by this mine, it's used to supply fuel to PacifiCorp’s adjacent Naughton Power Station via overland conveyor and Trona mine customers, approximately 60 miles east of Kemmerer, via truck and rail.
When asked to give a quote about the project, Meadows had this to say about it:
This sale came from a lead generated through our website and CRM in April of this year. The contact and I stayed in touch for months, and the sale was finalized on September 10th. Through some great work from our engineering group, the shower shack's design was approved by the customer on September 24th. The project is still currently under construction, but this shower unit will prove to be a nice asset for the mine. They will be able to place it at a convenient location on this large surface mine span for the miners to be able to freshen up at the end of their shifts. This will also help the miners save their facilities at their personal residences from wear-and-tear by being able to get the grit from the mines off of them before heading home to their families.
This project is a prime example of mines continuing to operate while they're in a robust economy. DropBox Inc. is excited to be a part of this continuation and eager to work with the mining industry on future projects!
