DropBox Inc. Particpates in the AEP Harvest for Hunger Palooza

Every year towards the endof September American Electric Power sponsors a fundraising event to benefit the Mid-Ohio Foodbank. The 2011 AEP Harvest for Hunger Palooza was held at the COSI in Columbus, Ohio. Monies raised at the event are part of AEP Ohio’s Partnership with Ohio (PWO) program that provides additional help in the areas of health, hunger and housing to Ohio’s needy families. These programs are designed to include families with incomes up to 200 percent of the federal poverty level, a segment of the population that often does not qualify for state and federal aid.
While the 2011 donation from AEP and other sponsors in attendance are yet to be determined it is known that in 2010 the event helped raise $304,391 dollars for the foodbank. "AEP Ohio established the Partnership with Ohio program to provide meaningful assistance to Ohioans in time of need," said Joe Hamrock, president and chief operating officer for AEP Ohio. "The help of outstanding agencies such as the Mid-Ohio Foodbank ensures that this contribution will be effective, and will quickly appear as healthy food on the table for thousands of families throughout the region."
