DropBox Inc. Finishes New DropOffice™ with a Restroom
Posted on Tue, May 31, 2011 @ 09:23 AM

DropBox Inc. just finished construction on a new 40' DropOffice with a self-contained, flushable restroom. This custom shipping container modification was designed to meet customer specific needs at a power plant in Wheatfield, Indiana. Working in conjunction with plant management DropBox Inc. was able to layout an entirely new floorplan to provide the best possible, portable solution for the site. Once the unit arrives at the plant it will be off loaded, hooked to power and put in place as an office facility for employees in a remote part of the plant.

Like all
shipping container modifications by DropBox Inc. this unit is fully insulated, wired for electric, and fitted with the required plumbing. Being that water and waste lines were not within reach of where this custom DropOffice is to be placed, containment tanks were built into the mechanical room. By locating the "guts" of the unit in the double-door end of the
ISO shipping container DropBox Inc. designed the unit to be easily serviced by the plants local septic hauling company.
