A new addition to theDropBox Inc.™ product line is the portable, ground-level
DropOffice™ office container. This item comes ready to deploy in your rental fleet and provides many of the value added
amenities of the storage containers.
Office containers are made of the same corrugated steel shell and heavy steel frame ready for repeated lifting
and placing for the construction industry. These offices are made of durable materials and dual locking access doors for security. The life
expectancy of these durable containers is over 20 years.
DropOffice™ portable offices begin with a high security steel ISO shipping container. They are available in (4) configurations: 20 foot with
one open end, 20 foot with both ends opening, or 40 foot with one or both ends open.
Metal studding and 1-1/2 inches of hard foam insulation are added to the sides and roof. A "bulkhead" of 2 x 4 studding and 3 inches of hard foam
insulation is constructed on each end. This bulkhead is recessed approximately 12 inches from the end of the box and houses a window (27” x 30”), a walk-in door
(32” x 76”), and a heat/air unit (9,900/9,700 BTU). The 40’ office units have (2) air/heat units. The windows are supplied with screens and the doors
are fitted with locks and deadbolts keyed alike. The interior is sheathed in #1 grade white high rib metal siding to make up a bright, attractive, easy to clean
interior. The end wall (bulkhead) is covered by durable FRP siding. The original heavy steel doors are left on the container ends and when closed make a very secure
(safe-like) container.
An electrician at your location can route power to a 100 amp outside disconnect box. A ground rod is recommended. An extra slot is provided in this box for an
optional external receptacle or "power beyond".
Inside the office is a 100-amp breaker box with the following circuits:
-
Two (2) 110V 20-amp circuits
with two (2) duplex receptacles each
-
Four (4) duplex receptacles
(8 in 40 footers)
-
One (1) 110V 20-amp circuit
for overhead lights
-
One (1) 220V 20-amp circuit
with receptacle for heat/air unit (2 in 40 footer)
Light fixtures are standard 4 foot units with 2 electronic, low temp, fluorescent bulbs each. Three fixtures are used in 20-foot models while six are installed in
40 footers. Light switches are provided by each door. Three-way light switches are provided for 20-foot double end boxes. Two-way switches provide control of 3
fixtures for the 40-foot double end boxes.
Industrial quality back-wired switches and receptacles are used throughout. All interior wiring is 12 gauge and encased in steel conduit (EMT).
Two (2) Phone jacks (4 lines total) are routed to a weatherproof exterior box for easy hookup.
All of our units are attractively trimmed and caulked for excellent weather protection.
